Rough morning …

She woke with a severe headache this morning; rating it at a 10 on a 1-10 scale.  Low grade fever.  Post-infusion steroid was no help for the headache; an ibuprofen is easing it slightly to a 7 on 1-10 scale… praying that continues going down for her.

She’s had a rough time since this infusion; starting to get more concerned about what that Igenex Lyme test may show.

Back to the kitchen to make her something safe to eat…

Sorry to hear she is having a tough morning. I so hope the headache is helped by something to eat and the Ibuprofen will help her. Would you explain the Lyme test a bit more Denise? Wondering how this is all related? Such a very difficult time for all of you. Praying as always, that Faith is healed soon. Hugs……

    Hi Karen,
She was very resistant to eating yesterday morning upon waking with such an extreme headache; but yes, the Ibuprofen did help, thankfully.
A lot of PANDAS kids have co-infections. The most common are Mycoplasma pneumoniae (causes pneumonia most of the time in young children – she had pneumonia with her first strep infection when she was pre-school age) and Lyme Disease. For the Lyme disease, they can actually worsen following IVIG; however, the ones who are severely ill can worsen briefly as well before they improve, so it can be hard to tell. She had labs drawn for LD and Myco about two weeks ago, so I hope to have the results soon.
Thanks so much for your prayers; we deeply appreciate them!
    Hugs,
    Denise
